2. Head down for the biggest little play festival

Short+Sweet 2024, the “biggest little play festival’’ returns for its 12th Edition in Dubai. The popular 10-minute play festival will run from the 13th of January to the 3rd of March 2024 at The Junction, Alserkal Avenue. With this year’s theme ‘’A Tapestry of Tales”, the festival brings the Dubai theatre community together for 8 weeks of theatrical magic.

Featuring over 70, 10-minute plays who battle it out for a spot in the Gala Finals, the participants can be of any age, cultural background, and the play of any format – the ONLY rule – it shouldn’t exceed 10 minutes.

This edition will also feature the Regional Week (3rd week of the festival) – which is focused on non-English plays. The 4th week this year is sustainability and climate change-themed week – where the plays are 10 minutes based on either or both themes.

Time? The doors open at 07:15 pm and the show kicks off at 07:30 pm
