The Act, Dubai is a restaurant-cum-nightclub that specializes in live entertainment. There will be all sorts of events here. The only other place like, it and although very different, is MusicHall on the Palm. You will see live performances, trapezists and contortionists. They have a few different events each week. Traditionally the act was known for it’s Sunday night show, now that they have a new menu, and new performances, it’s well work checking out.

The Act, as a venue, may seem tired on first impressions, compared with the newer venues in Dubai, but don’t let that put you off. 

Imagine if you went to a cabaret show in New York in the 1930’s or even a high-end nightclub in London in the 1960’s, this is what it would be like. The stage, tables, chandeliers and paintings on the walls. You are transported away from Dubai every so briefly. 

The new menu on Sunday’s is a really interesting blend of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine

It’s a Peruvian menu that fully incorporates Japanese influences into its dishes. There’s a whole newNigiri, Sashimi and Sushi roll section, as well as new hot and cold starters, salads and main courses. These include a Seabass Ceviche, Tuna Tataki, Beef Tartare, Scallops and the Seabream.
