The fire erupted on the 7th floor of Al Meer Tower, which is next to the Ramee Rose Hotel in Barsha Heights, shortly after 9 pm on Wednesday night.

Concerned authorities were on the scene, and a helicopter was dispatched at about 9 pm.

In a statement, Dubai Media Office confirmed that the tower was evacuated before the blaze spread to other floors, with no injuries reported as of about 11 pm.
