It’s always brilliant news when a government devotes time and money on environmentally sustainable projects, particularly when the plans are as big as this.
The coastal city, which runs directly into Sharjah, has major plans for 662,000 square metres of new recreational space and wooded areas and the local Municipality plan on building seven parks in three years.
Rapid development in the region led the decision to undertake the new developments, which were issued by His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman.
The project will also raise public awareness about protecting the environment and “keep pace with the growth of Ajman towards a sustainable green emirate,” according to Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department.
