A man who set fire to 13 cars in Dubai is standing trial.
The arsonist who destroyed 13 cars at a Dubai Outlet Mall tried to flee the country after carrying out a revenge attack against a new driver working in his bus company.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) sprung into action and apprehended the criminal before he fled the country.
13 cars were destroyed in the blaze.
The accused admitted the crime; he told police the new driver was offering a reduced price to transport passengers, which resulted in him losing customers.
After starting the blaze, he went immediately to the airport and purchased a flight ticket home. Dubai Police apprehended him before he left the country.
A verdict is expected on October 29.
