A two-storey building, measuring up to 640 square metres, The Dubai Municipality unveiled on Wednesday.

However, this structure was NOT built but printed.

The towering structure that sits in the Warsan area is now the world’s most massive 3D printed structure is one significant proof

It’ll also be added to the Guinness World Book of Records for being the largest 3D printed structure in the world.

The building will be used as an innovation centre, located in central Dubai

The printing of the building took a whole year and cost between AED800,000 to AED1 million, which is a lower cost than that of the traditional construction methods.

Since it is the first building of its kind, a representative from the Dubai Municipality said the manpower used while 3D printing a building is 50% lower than what’s usually needed in a standard building.
