A woman has been jailed for abetting the murder of her husband, while her lover will face a firing squad for the crime, after the adulterous couple colluded to murder her husband.

The man, a 32-year-old from Comoro Islands, lost an appeal in front of the Dubai Appeal Court on Monday, and once approved he will face death, according to reports.

The victim was the man’s best friend

The victim was lured to a car, where his friend hit him with a rock, ‘mowed him down and killed him before setting him on fire,’ according to a Gulf News report.

He ran his vehicle over the body several times, lit the body on fire and doused it with petrol.

The woman, who had initially been sentenced to 15 years, had her sentence increased to life. She was convicted of premeditating and aiding the murder.
