A Video Has Emerged Of Elton John Playing A Gig Days After Postponing His Dubai Show For A Second TIme
This is turning into a bit of a saga to be honest. Eventually we’ll call it EltonGate and refuse to speak of it, but for now here’s the story (in short):
Elton John was due to play show in DubaiĀ on December 15th 2016, but it got postponed until January 17th. Then four days ago we heard the second gig was postponed untilĀ DECEMBER 2017, nearly a year after the original date. Both gigs were postponed due to health concerns ‘not of aĀ seriously threatening nature’.
The promoters of the eventĀ (it sounds like they’re having their work cut outĀ for them) made a statement about Elton’s health
“SirĀ Elton John will unfortunately have to postpone hisĀ January 20thĀ 2017 show in Dubai for medical reasons.Ā Although not of a seriously threatening nature he has been advised by his doctors to scheduleĀ aĀ medical procedure to treat hisĀ conditionĀ immediately.
Elton apologies to his Middle East fans butĀ withĀ the prompt assistance of the promoter 117Live, we have managed to secure theĀ new concert date of December 8thĀ 2017.Ā Elton is looking forward to seeing you all there, and promises an amazing show.”
Days later however, and videos emerge ofĀ EltonĀ playing a number of his famous hitsĀ at a London wedding
The videos, posted to Facebook by a guest of the wedding, wereĀ taken in the last few days. Other stars performing included Anna Netrebko and Mariah Carey, at the wedding of the granddaughter of a Russian billionaire.
Maybe he’s already had the medical procedure and maybe he’s feeling a whole lot better. But fans may be a bit sore to have been let down by Elton inĀ what seems like three times in a row.
