Ahhh the Metaverse is getting all too REAL, now that Emirates Airlines has confirmed its meta-plans.
Dubai-based carrier Emirates will soon venture off into the AI playground, alongside launching both collectable and utility-based non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as the UAE continues to strongly focus on building its digital economy.
And it’s only right as VR activities were some of the most popular attractions down at the Expo.
The Emirates Pavilion cum centre for innovation will bring talent from all over the globe together, to help expand on the airline’s future-focused projects including those relating to the metaverse, NFTs, VR headsets and Web3.
HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates airline and Group elaborated on this:
“Emirates has always embraced advanced technologies to improve our business processes, enhance our customer offering, and enrich our employees’ skills and experiences.
We are excited about the opportunities in the digital space of the future and are committing a significant investment in financial and resourcing terms, to develop products and services using advanced technologies that will deliver on revenue, brand experience, and business efficiencies.”
We will soon launch NFTs and exciting experiences in the metaverse, as we repurpose The Emirates Pavilion from Expo 2020 Dubai into our new centre for innovation. https://t.co/A54ryw0Tos pic.twitter.com/faGTZbYmV3
