Ahead of the massive typhoon, Typhoon Mangkhut, UAE airlines have cancelled flights to Hong Kong for today – and until further notice.
Both Emirates and Etihad have confirmed.
The incoming typhoon is heading towards south China after killing around 40 people in the Philippines.
Flights to and from Hong Kong have been suspended and are expected to be until September 18.
Flight operations at HKIA is seriously affected today by Mangkhut. HKIA will implement flight rescheduling on Monday to arrange flights according to actual situation. Passengers should proceed to the airport only when their seats and flight time have been confirmed. pic.twitter.com/UfoIYkScSz
