The Abu Dhabi Federal Appeal Court convicted four UAE Nationals on Tuesday for joining terror organisations and promoting their fanatic ideologies.
The four individuals face sentences such as imprisonment, surveillance and counselling centres.
Known only as KH.S.A.S.A, he received the most severe of the sentences handed out by the court yesterday, for his involvement in the terror organisation IS, including attempting to recruit younger members to the organisation.
He was also ordered to bear all expenses of the trail against him.
K.SH.M.A’.S. was sentenced to seven years in prison for attempting to inflict damage to UAE’s relations with a sisterly country.
A third individual, “A’.A.A.A.”, has been placed under surveillance for five years for attempting to join the terrorist organisation, as well as confiscation of all devices used to communicate during his criminal endeavours.
The fourth convict, “A’.M.A’.R.A.A”, has been placed in a counselling center under surveillance for six months effective upon the issuance of the court ruling.
