Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Bahrain met in Manama on Sunday to continue discussion about the next possible steps following the Gulf fall out.
Together ministers for the four countries reviewed the latest developments and affirmed their commitment to ending terrorism, maintaining regional security and the strong stance against Doha to put an end to funding terrorism, providing safe havens for terrorists, promoting hatred rhetoric and incitement and meddling in the internal affairs of the region’s countries.
The six guiding principles remain at the forefront of finding a solution to the boycott but the four nations stated they are ready to begin a dialogue with Qatar should it the ready to heed the principles and 13 anti-terror demands according to Wam.ae.
The consideration of the people of Qatar are at the forefront of any decision taken by the UAE according to H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation which is a consensus among the four countries.
As above he expressed that the responsibility to resolve the crisis lies with the Qatar state, who must adhere with demands, which the four countries have stressed are taken to align with international law.
“It is for the Qatari leadership to decide the approach they want for Qatar and for the people of Qatar.”
