Dubai Marine Rescue teams, in cooperation with port patrols and Dubai Ambulance all helped save an inspector who fell into a tank at a dock near the Dubai Creek pier.
Lieutenant Colonel Ali al-Qassaybi, head of the Marine Rescue Division, and his team went immediately to the scene where they began to save the man.
The rescue teams experienced difficulty when attempting to retrieve the inspector from the tank as he fell through the top of the small opening.
The operation was said to be challenging as the tank was 11m deep, the top could not bear weights, and there was very little oxygen inside.
Rescue teams entered the tank with pure air balloons, and a large crane was used to remove the inspector and take him onto an ambulance where he was met with the necessary medical treatment.
