It’s much too soon to get excited, but Morocco has joined the bid for the FIFA World Cup 2026 along with a joint bid from theĀ US, Mexico and Canada.
The only MENA country to submit an application, Morocco cited “exceptionally low murder rates” and “very low gun circulation” as some of the reasons it believes it is the top spot to host in 2026.
This is the fifth time Morocco has bid for the event and this year in particular the bid is grabbing attention…

Morocco stated it’sĀ “one of the safest countries in the world” while the joint bid from Morocco, US and Canada stated the countries would dedicate all necessary resources to ensure a safe world cup.
