The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have introduced changes to the rules for the validity of length of driving licenses.
From July 1 onwards, licenses for new drivers have a validity period of two years for citizens, GCC nationals and other nationalities above 21 years.
The validity for renewal driver licenses are 10 years for citizens and GCC nationals aged above 21 years, however it’s five years for other nationalities.
Citizens, GCC nationalities or other nationalities under 21 years can hold licenses valid for a one year period.
The Resolution sets several stipulations for issuing & renewing driver licenses.
