HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Emir of Abu Dhabi has pardoned 977 prisoners on the event of the holy month of Ramadan.

The prisoners, imprisoned for various cases, will also have any liabilities they owe paid for by the President according to Wam.ae.

This incredible gesture by the President will ease the sufferings of the families involved and also give the prisoners the chance to start a new life, free from debt.

Hats off to the President for this gracious gesture.
