Winter is here!… Well, nearly.

While the summer season ends on September 23, today marks the day we should expect to see temperatures dropping in the UAE, thanks to the appearance of the Suhail star. Rejoice!
Can you feel it yet? Today the Suhail star rises and it marks the day temperatures are meant to drop. Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Emirates Astronomy Society tweeted the star will shine today, August 24, which should result in a drop in temperatures, an increase in humidity and more wind. It’s known in Emirati culture as a time of abundance and usually brings with it a busy season of fishing!
