Sudan is in political limbo after Sudanese military toppled al-Bashir on April 11

President Omar al-Bashir held power for nearly 30 years but was ousted on April 11 following accusations of corruption, anti-government protests and an intensifying call from the Sudanese people for genuine change.

The country’s political situation remains in no-mans-land, as a growing number of protestors (namely, civilians) are holding sit-ins in Khartoum, demanding authority to be handed over to civilian rule.
