Authorities are warning people about an anti-terrorism clearance scam that is going around in Dubai.
The scam tricks people into paying for something that doesn’t exist.
According to the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), a fake official-looking document, called the “anti-terrorism clearance,” is being distributed that is supposed to clean people from any alleged involvement in terrorist activities.
People are advised to not respond to any emails or phone calls regarding such a document.
According to Gulf News, fraudsters have been trying to dupe people from other countries into paying huge amounts into these fake anti-terrorism clearance fees.
