Romeo and Juliet, The Notebook’s Allie and Noah, Bonnie and Clyde- basically all the greatest love stories we’ve ever heard have since been turned into books (with millions of copies sold), films and shows.
But none have ever discussed the greatest, although short, love story thus far.
…for the sake of love.
Closeup has worked for over fifty years, encouraging its audience to build up their confidence and not be afraid to go beyond the shallowness of everyday conversations, and get closer.
By doing this, restrictions on going in deeper and getting to know people are abolished and the freedom to understand, engage and accept leads to the freedom of truly loving.
And, isn’t that just a world everyone would want to live in?
It is a campaign about breaking barriers of relationships, such as skin colour, age, money, and ethnicity- all common deterrences to love stories waiting to happen. Now, more than ever, especially in a region that has managed to develop so quick considering its roots and traditions- the message of loving another is vital.
And loving another means not allowing external factors to change the way you feel.
Will love always win? We don’t know
But CloseUp won’t stop fighting because it is always worth the fight.
They cannot do it alone. Everybody has a role to play.
So will you let love in, or keep the door shut?
