Cloud seeding is a hot topic in the UAE at the moment, with the rains pouring from the skies far more frequently than previous years.
It's a fairly interesting concept, executed by the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.
The NCMS sends planes up into the clouds to drop a special concoction to into the clouds to create cloud condensation, becoming precipitation.
This procedure takes around three days to execute, but the rain comes pretty quickly once the seeds have been planted
The NCMS released a video documenting the process, from the forecasting stage at the beginning, all the way through to the rain hitting the ground in the UAE.
The full documentary goes for around half an hour, and shows the ins and outs and science behind the seeding
