Saudi Arabia is making major strides in all areas and reaching for the stars – quiet literally.
Saudi scientists have launched a new satellite into space
While this is the 16th Saudi satellite into space, it is the Kingdom’s first ever communications satellite.
It was developed by a team from King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and launched in French Guiana by Arianespace, which provides launch services for all types of satellites.
Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman was there for the placement of the final piece of the satellite and even signed it
He left a message “Above the Clouds” on the satellite.
