Unconfirmed: A Joint Saudi-Italy Bid For The World Cup Is Possibly Being Considered
The plans for the 2030 World Cup venue have already begun and a possible joint bid between Saudi Arabia and Italy has been speculated.
The news is entirely unconfirmed but was reported by an international sporting publication
The news speculated that Saudi Arabia would consider hosting the tournament alone, however, their main aim is to partner with another nation.
The publication also stated that Egypt and Morocco are also possibly interested in bidding but given the issue of limited infrastructure in the countries, a joint bid with a European partner is a viable option.
On Thursday, Italian federation president Gabriele Gravina said at a press conference that the country is evaluating the potential possibility.
