Etihad Airways Is Now Allowing Electronics To Be Taken Onboard Their Flights To US Again

Abu-Dhabi based airline, Etihad Airways, has announced its lifting of the electronic ban on all its flights from Abu Dhabi International Airport to the United States. Reportedly, the lift will be effective immediately allowing passengers flying to the States to carry laptops, mobiles, and tablets onto an aircraft.

“We welcome the decision by the US Department of Homeland Security to lift the electronic devices ban on flights between Abu Dhabi and the US, following the successful validation of security measures at the US Preclearance facility at Abu Dhabi airport earlier today”

Etihad is the first airport to lift the electronic ban on personal devices 

The airlines also extended their gratitude to their loyal passengers as the ban was in place from last March. According to The National, the banning of electronics was decided upon the US’ statement that they were “evaluated intelligence” of “innovative methods” being used by terrorists but did not mention any specific threat to aviation”.  This affected
