Two years later, Miracle Garden was home to the tallest topiary sculpture in the world; an 18-metre sculpture and Disney’s first character floral display in the Middle East. It was made with 100,000 plants and flowers, weighing in at nearly 35 tons.

How Miracle Garden came to be

It all started on Valentine’s Day in 2013 when the garden first opened its gates to the public and the breathtaking floral displays absolutely captivated visitors. The concept was born out of the visionary thinking of Dubai’s government which sought to create unique attractions that would showcase the city’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

The project was undertaken by Akar Landscaping and Agriculture Company, a renowned landscaping firm known for its expertise in transforming arid landscapes into lush green spaces. With the goal of turning Dubai into a global tourism hub, the creators of Dubai Miracle Garden embarked on an ambitious endeavour to bring nature’s wonders to the desert.

They transformed a barren stretch of land near Dubailand into a blooming oasis, using state-of-the-art technology and sustainable practices to ensure the garden’s longevity in the challenging desert environment. Since its inception, Dubai Miracle Garden has continued to evolve and expand, introducing new attractions and designs each year to keep visitors coming back for more. Today, it stands as a testament to Dubai’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible, delighting millions of visitors from around the world with its awe-inspiring floral displays and earning its place as a true marvel of human ingenuity.
