PICS: A Dubai Resident Spotted These Adorable Pantagonian Maras In Al Qudra
While it’s true that the UAE is home to many of the world’s most exotic animals, it’s not very often we see the large rodents you’re about to see now.
Thanks to Dubai resident, @moe_coaching on Instagram, who quickly snapped up pics of the furry creatures he spotted in Dubai’s Al Qudra desert, we’re now going to be just a little more familiar with these cuties!
They’re strange, mostly only because they’re rarely heard of but Patagonian maras are long-legged rodents with bodies quite similar to a hoofed animal.
According to National Zoo, they’re mostly seen in central and southern Argentina but do ‘prefer arid grasslands and brush lands with lots of open space.’
What about their eating habits? Well, they’re herbivorous so they mostly consume grasses, cactuses, and sometimes seeds, fruits and flowers.
So cute!

Its employees will get a three-day weekend. Gasping in envy.
And in case you were wondering, no salary cuts or changes in their employees’ contracts will be made- other than the fact that they’ll be working ONE day less than the rest of us, as announced via a LinkedIn post.Â
Just fab!
We came across this meme that is just so relatable to residents who have gotten their driver’s licenses from Dubai. They know the struggle.
Getting your Dubai driver’s license is VERY hard, expensive and teaches you to not fear failure
… because you will at least once.
