A major redevelopment is afoot and it’s happening at The Pointe.
Last week it was announced The Pointe Fountains, which launched in October 2020, and hold a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest dancing fountain would dance a final time. At the time of the announcement, no further information about reopening times was shared, but many had questions regarding the future of the iconic location.
It has now become clear that The Pointe will close for major redevelopment and restaurants and bars there have been given 12 months to vacate the premises, according to local reports via Nakheel.

The tenants of The Pointe have been served notice – which is fully compliant with the Dubai Land Department laws, rules and regulations – as part of the future redevelopment of The Pointe… The tenants will have a period of 12 months to vacate and relocate, as per their individual circumstances. Nakheel is working closely with our valued tenants throughout this process. Nakheel remains committed to ensuring the smoothest transition possible for its tenants during this time.
This is sad news for fans of the iconic destination and of course for all of the incredible teams who brought the location to life. No further information has been shared for what’s to come.
