The UAE Is Charging 84 Members Of The Muslim Brotherhood

84 suspects from the Muslim Brotherhood have been referred to the Abu Dhabi Federal Court of Appeal (State Security Court), according to WAM

They are on trial on the charges of establishing “another clandestine organisation for the purpose of committing acts of violence and terrorism on UAE soil” WAM revealed on January 6.

The defendants had concealed this crime and its evidence before they were arrested and tried in Case No (17) of 2013- State Security.

After 6 months of investigation, sufficient evidence was gathered and the defendants were referred to trial

Legal proceedings have started for defendants and legal representations were appointed to those without. The court has begun hearing from witnesses in a public trial.
