A UAE Royal Pays Visit To Palestinian Children And Families Receiving Medical Care In Hospitals

Spreading smiles, a UAE royal dropped by for a special visit to hospitals where Palestinian children and families are receiving crucial medical care. Because sometimes, a little royal visit can make the toughest times a bit brighter…

This is as part of the continued humanitarian relief initiative supporting the Palestinian people

H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Office of Development and Martyrs Families Affairs at the Presidential Court, paid a visit to Palestinian children and their families undergoing medical treatment in hospitals across the UAE.

Sheikh Theyab personally attended to the bedside of injured children, adult family members, and child cancer patients from Palestine. This care is part of the initiative directed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aiming to provide treatment for 1,000 Palestinian children at healthcare facilities in the UAE. He chatted with the young patients, wishing them a quick recovery.

That’s not it…

31 premature babies, previously evacuated from Gaza’s Al Shifa hospital, are now receiving dedicated care at the UAE-run Al Helal Emirati Maternity Hospital.

Further, during a visit on Saturday, a WHO team reported that 291 patients remain in the hospital. Among them are 32 babies in extremely critical condition, trauma patients with severely infected wounds, and individuals with spinal injuries who are currently immobile.

Aid from the UAE is also on the move to Gaza

On Sunday, a UAE humanitarian aid convoy departed from Al Arish, Egypt, heading to the Rafah Border Crossing for entry into the Gaza Strip. This assistance, part of the ‘Gallant Knight 3’ operation directed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, includes 13 trucks carrying a total of 272.5 tonnes of aid.

Moreover, the convoy features 10 trucks with 16,800 food packages (252 tonnes) and 3 trucks with 360 tents (20.5 tonnes), continuing the UAE’s commitment to supporting Palestinians during these challenging times. The ongoing air bridge operation, with 49 flights to date, further demonstrates the UAE’s dedication to alleviating the suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The death toll in Palestine has been increasing significantly on a daily basis…

Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7 have resulted in 13,000 deaths, including 5,500 children and 3,500 women. The number of injuries has surpassed 30,000, with over 75% being children and women.
