United forward Mason Greenwood has been pictured training with his teammate Anthony Elanga in Dubai as he awaits the verdict of the club’s internal investigation. Greenwood has been suspended by United since his arrest in January 2022 on suspicion of rape and assault against his ex-girlfriend, Harriet Robson. He has not been able to play or train with the squad at Carrington for the past 17 months.
Last month, Greenwood was spotted working out on a sports centre pitch with a personal trainer. However, as United flew out to Oslo for their first pre-season friendly against Leeds, the 21-year-old was seen training with Elanga and Udinese defender James Abankwah following a fitness session.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Greenwood’s future, it is highly likely that he will be loaned out to a foreign club next season. Reports suggest that he may even be used as a makeweight in United’s bid to sign Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.

It remains to be seen how the situation will unfold, but Greenwood’s presence in Dubai indicates that he is committed to keeping fit in hopes of a decision favouring him.
