Condolences Have Been Pouring In For Sergeant Omar Al-Ketbi Who Was Martyred In A Fire Accident

Sergeant Omar Al Ketbi’s death is a tragic reminder of the risks that firefighters face in the line of duty. He was one of the firefighters who responded to the blaze at the Al Kabayel Centre, which was brought under control by multiple teams. However, during the cooling phase, a part of the building’s roof collapsed, resulting in the officer’s death.

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum personally visited the family of Sergeant Omar Khalifa Salem Al Ketbi, who lost his life in the line of duty

HH paid rich tributes to the Dubai Civil Defence, saying “brave men who selflessly put their lives on the line to protect lives, property and the safety of the country”. The prince offered his condolences to the family and assured them that the memory of Sergeant Al Ketbi would always be honoured by Dubai.

Sergeant Al Ketbi had been a member of the Dubai Civil Defence since September 2017. His death is a loss not only to his family but also to his colleagues and the entire community. The Dubai Civil Defence plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of the country, and the sacrifices made by its firefighters in the line of duty must always be remembered and honoured.
