You know Emirates, the world-famous airline with headquarters in Dubai. Yeah, that’s the one! Well, the Emirates Group just announced its most profitable year yet, making an impressive annual profit of AED10.9 billion for the year 2022-23.

This remarkable financial achievement is a complete turnaround from last year’s loss position.

But the good news doesn’t stop there. Emirates and dnata ramped up their recruitment across the globe and hired more than 17,000 employees last year alone

This means that the group’s total workforce has increased by 20% to 102,379 employees, representing over 160 different nationalities.

Emirates held many open days across several cities to fill the vacancies

In September, the group announced it would hire over 800 people in several fields, including software engineering, DevOps, Hybrid cloud, Agile delivery, technical product management, Digital Workplace, cybersecurity, IT architecture, innovation and service management. In December, the group conducted open days in several cities across Europe to hire cabin crew.

Currently, there are almost 200 open vacancies on the group’s career website, with more than half of the openings in the UAE.

This news is not only good for the Emirates Group but also for the aviation industry as a whole. The group’s success and recruitment drive demonstrates that the industry is bouncing back from the pandemic, and demand for air travel is on the rise once again.
