The conditions in Haiti at the moment is dire and hospitals are overwhelmed with earthquake victims. The death toll has risen to 1,297 and 5,700 injured according to Reuters. The devastating quake occurred on Saturday August, 14 at 12:29PM GMT.
The 7.2 magnitude quake destroyed thousands of homes specifically in the region and around the town of Les Cayes. Haiti’s hospitals are trying to keep up with the number of injured residents. The earthquake was reportedly felt in neighboring countries Jamaica and Cuba.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation released an article on their website, dedicated to the tragic events in Haiti.
The UAE has expressed its solidarity with Haiti for the victims of the earthquake that struck the south of the country, killing many people, as well as causing injuries.
They wrote.
The Ministry as well as local residents wish the injured residents of Haiti a speedy recovery.
