It Looks Like Most Businesses AREN’T Ready For The Implementation Of VAT

It looks as though the majority of businesses in the UAE are not prepared for the implementation of VAT in 2018, according to a new study. 

The survey found 69% of businesses in the UAE aren’t ready for the changes – which are coming next year. 

According to Deloitte representative, Justin Whitehouse, 96% of respondents acknowledged they’re aware VAT will be implemented in 2018 across the GCC, but less than half believe it will be implemented in “the very near future”. 

He said: “Businesses should be taking their preparations seriously by this point.”
