CONFIRMED: Both Sectors Will Have Four Days Off For Eid Al Adha

It has been announced that Eid Al Adha will most likely fall on Sunday, August 11, according to the International Astronomical Center (IAC) in Abu Dhabi.

Experts like the Durector of the IAX, Eng Mohammed Shawkat says sighting the new moon of the Zul Hijjah for the lunar month won’t be a tough one this year.

Saudi Arabia will, of course, announce the sighting of Zul Hijjah, which will then be approved as the sighting.

The new moon could even be visible to the naked eye or via telescopes, wherein those who live in the region will be able to catch it on Thursday, August 1, 2019.

August 10 will likely be the start of the holidays

According to the Federal Authority for Government Human Resourced, Arafat or Haj day is likely to fall on Saturday, August 10, and will  also be a holiday.

Both the private and public sector will also have a three-day official holiday from Sunday, August 11 to 13.
