This year has been rough to say the least and everyone deserves to have a night out filled with fireworks, laughter and GOOD food! At the end of the night though, it’s time to head back to your crib. If you’re thinking of taking the metro to and from your NYE plans, you might want to plan ahead.

There will be some changes made to the Dubai metro schedule for New Years Eve

The Dubai Metro will operate for around 44 hours straight

Fellow travels, note that the metro’s Red Line will operate from 5am on Thursday December, 31 until 1am on Saturday January, 2. That’s 44 hours of straight operation. By golly! As for the Green Line, it will begin at 5:30 am on Thursday December, 31 until 1am on Saturday January 2.

If you were planning on going to the Downtown Dubai area using the metro on NYE, think again

The Burj Khalifa metro station will be closed from 5pm on Thursday December, 31 until 6am on Friday January 1. There will be a designated pedestrian crossing near the station to cross Sheikh Zayed Road safely.
