This Controversial Billboard On SZR Has Been Removed By Authorities
A billboard on Sheikh Zayed Road for the Sanjeev Krishna Yoga centre has been removed following calls from the public that the claims were ‘unscientific’.
The promotion was spotted in August and originally said that in just ten days, with no medication, the course could ‘beat depression, migraines and stress’. The wording was later changed to beat ‘diabetics, arthritis and back pain’ however prominent members of the medical community locally and internationally, and many residents were quick to call on authorities for action.
“This tweet comes with a health warning”
Fascinating conversation sparked by @DrAlMidfa, psychiatry resident in UAE over legality and ethics of this claim to 'beat' (not 'cure') #diabetes through yoga.

Many voiced concern for unsuspecting readers who might be duped by the claims
You’re so right. I was disgusted by the one about depression but this!! Unfortunately people fall for this nonsense. They see him on a billboard and will assume he’s somebody whilst my cynical side is wondering where he got his money to afford those boards 🧐

While others did support the positive benefits of a holistic approach to medicine
Specifically praising these classes
I honestly don’t think there is any exaggeration in the advertisement, iused to take yoga training courses with him, and during my classes i saw many patients who had diabetes were cured by yoga within 4 days, not only that he also cured people who had back pains and other issues
