Animals are perfect. The problem is that they have to adjust to human society- which Balram identifies as the main issue

“Everyone talks to animals, how many of us listen?”

Humans are guides for animals. They need to be guided through the process of identifying what behaviour is acceptable. This is our basic responsibility as pet parents.

“Unfortunately for them [animals] they have to live with us in human society which has its own rules and structures. So when we bring them into this world we should take responsibility of guiding them to be part of this life.”

Balram’s relationship-based approach to taming is focused on building a relationship between you and your animal and understanding your lifestyle

His key steps include:

  1. A lifestyle assessment of the owner. Lots of patterns in the lifestyle affect the dog’s behaviour deeply.
  2. A general briefing on do’s and dont’s
  3. Stage 1 training begins, based on the lifestyle assessment.
