In a statement by the Dubai Media Office, Dubai Police stated “Safety and security are of paramount importance in the UAE.”

Dubai authorities have urged the public to rely on official channels and verified sources for accurate information

False information, especially during sensitive times, can have dire consequences, not only in terms of public panic but also in legal repercussions.

In the UAE, spreading false information can result in substantial fines, with penalties starting at AED250,000. Offenders may also face imprisonment for up to one year. These strict measures are in place to safeguard the integrity of information and prevent the dissemination of baseless rumours that can sow discord and unrest in society.
