It has been announced that an electronic toll system will be installed in Abu Dhabi for drivers who will be passing through the city according to local news.

This will be set up in four different locations within the city and drivers who are coming into the city or going out will pass through the electronic tolling system.

This was announced at a press conference in Abu Dhabi by DoT this week

The toll gate system will be installed on October 15 2019

If you cross the toll gate without enough balance then you will be fined with AED50 each day after the grace period.

Additionally, if you pass the toll gate with a non registered vehicle then a fine of AED100 on the first day, AED200 on the second will be your way after the grace period, and there is a chance that the fine can go up to AED10,000.
