The Woman Attempting To Become The Youngest Female To Fly Solo Around The World Has Stopped In At DXB

Dubai International Airport has welcomed the civilian pilot, Shaesta Waiz, who is attempting to become the youngest woman in history to fly solo around the world. 

The 29-year-old began her journey in Daytona Beach International Airport on May 13, and has embarked on a 90-day journey to 18 countries on five continents with 30 stops. 

Waiz is the first certified civilian female pilot from Afghanistan.

She’s promoting  science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and aviation education to the next generation on her trip, which is led by Dreams Soar – a non-profit organisation founded by Waiz in 2014.
