The 20kmph Speed Margin On UAE Roads Might Be Scrapped Depending On The Public’s Feedback
The chairman of the Federal Traffic Council is asking the public whether it’s in favour of scrapping the 20kmph speed margin on the limit on UAE roads.
Major General, Mohamed al Zafeen shared a tweet to his account, asking if people would prefer to reduce the margin.
He said: “The Federal Traffic Council will study results from the people’s views and opinions about the removal of the 20kmph speed limit margin, and forward its recommendations to Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, for issuance of a suitable law,” according to Khaleej Times.
He asks whether people are in favour of scrapping the 20 kmph margin – and for residents to give feedback via twitter
