All Emiratis Reported Safe In Nice But Those In France Are Given A Warning

Avatar

Today we woke up in Dubai to reports of another terrible tragedy from somewhere around the world. In the past two weeks alone we are seen awful events in Dhaka Bangladesh, Baghdad Iraq, Qaa Lebanon. And now we can add Nice to that list of unexplainable, hard to comprehend events. We can all relate to a scene of being in a large group watching fireworks, as people were yesterday evening on the promenade in Nice for Bastille Day. We can only offer our thoughts and prayers with the people of France, for the second time since the launch of this publication.

France in a state of high alert

Never in my life time did I ever feel there was a threat to travel to places like France, but now, governments around the world are issuing warnings to plan trips with extreme caution. Before traveling to some places that have a history of violence, it’s normal for us to check the warning levels on our home countries embassy websites. While living in Dubai, it’s also worth keeping track of updates from the Dubai Media office. Emirates here have been reassured that there are been no reported casualties and those living in France have been advised to contact the UAE Embassy in Paris in case of emergency.

Emiratis currently in France given advice

“Due to the unfortunate events in the French city of Nice, the embassy calls on esteemed citizens to take caution and not to leave their residences unless necessary, to avoid any risk across France, they should stay at their residences despite the fact that the police warning is confined to the city of Nice.”
