One way to protect yourself from WhatsApp scams is by activating 2FA authentication
As recommended by @judeosamor, a security analyst and the founder of Cyberodane.
Besides not interacting with the scammer, activate 2FA in the following way:
Settings -> Account -> Two-Step Verification
Just incase you ever get contacted by this number, be careful not to adhere to his instructions or any number requesting you to send any 6 digit verification, they’ll hack your WhatsApp account and use your identity to extort your contacts. Be safe out there guys !!
