Careem, the Dubai-based ride-hailing app, has today announced that the company will be sponsoring cloud seeding across the UAE as it’s proven to be so good for business.
Over the past few weeks the organisation has seen a huge rise in the number of people using the service for both short and longer journeys due to increased rainfall across the region.
Cloud seeding aims to increase the amount of rain that falls by releasing pure salt crystal, silver iodide, potassium iodide or dry ice into the air, which helps to change the processes within the cloud.
Cloud seeding or rain on demand has been an extremely successful project for palm tree farmers in the desert, as it has helped to improve the environment in eastern areas of the region.
