Etisalat Have Blocked A Chat App And Gamers Are Furious
Discord is a chat app that gamers use to connect and Etisalat have just banned it in the UAE.
All VOIPs (Voice Over Internet Protocol) apps without a license are illegal in the UAE as per the TRA (Telecommunications Regulatory Authority) policy, if they have a license, like Skype, there is no problem.
Discord App doesn’t have a license in the UAE.
The topic is being discussed on the #discordban hashtag on Twitter.
@Etisalat_Care Bring back Discord! You are making a huge mistake. #Discordban

Sucks that no matter how much we voice our concerns and complaints to @Etisalat_Care they never really “Care” #discordban

Some tweeters are representing the UAE in an international gaming competition and can’t communicate to fellow gamers.
