Twitter Is Abuzz With The FIRST Emirati Female To Have Enrolled At An Israeli University
On Tuesday, August 3 the University of Haifa in Israel spilt major tea on their newest student who’s already made history!
So to cut the suspense short, Sumaya al-Mahabiri has officially become the first-ever female Emirati student to have enrolled at an Israeli university and is expected to graduate in four years.
Since the peace treaty was signed between the UAE and Israel back in September 2020, things have only been uphill for the neighbouring countries
Sumaya studying at Haifa University’s Nursing School will not only strengthen the academic ties between the two countries, but will also prompt other students to partake in exchange programmes and will push more youngsters to broaden their horizons!

Last year, 19-year-old Mansoor bin Shamekh Al Marzooqi was the first male Emirati to have enrolled at an Israeli university
Marzooqi is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in government studies at IDC’s Raphael Recanati International School.
The best part of this welcome to the campus? The university hoisted the UAE flag on the campus’s Avenue of Flags to mark the historic occasion.
Congrats to Mansoor Al Marzooki, the first UAE student to study in Israel @IDCHerzliya.
Education is a bridge for a better future, marking another milestone towards mutual success and progression.
Best of luck, and have an insightful experience!#UAEinIsrael #UrielReichman pic.twitter.com/Gwg9JCc4YD— Mohamed Al Khaja (@AmbAlKhaja) June 14, 2021
