Welcome To The First Ever Master-Planned City Built Around The World’s Largest Airport
Dubai is getting a new city?
It looks like it, if a tweet from Dubai Media Office earlier this evening is anything to go by.
The area surrounding the Al Maktoum International Airport is next on the cities development list. The proposed plan is for the first ever purpose built city, which will include a commercial district, a logistics district, a residential district, an exhibition district (where some of Expo 2020 will take place) and an aviation district

There are big plans for the airport too
Al Maktoum International airport will be the world’s largest airport, there are plans in place to handle a footfall of over 200 million passengers a year. Incredible numbers when you think about it.
