Many Etihad Flights Were Delayed In Abu Dhabi After UAE Woke Up To The First Fog Of The Season On Weekend
This season’s first dense fog and mist engulfed the UAE this weekend reducing visibility to less than 500 metres and causing several flights to delay in Abu Dhabi.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), morning mist took over Abu Dhabi International Airport, and other parts of the country thereby disrupting the flight schedules completely.
Etihad Airways released an official statement on Twitter
Due to the ongoing poor weather conditions in Abu Dhabi, we have been experiencing several delays and cancellations in our flights throughout the night of Friday 22 December and today, Saturday morning 23 December 2017. (1/3)

As per the airways, passengers were advised to contact their airlines before heading to the airport.
Motorists have also been cautioned
With such changing weather conditions, NCM has also advised drivers to be mindful of the heavy fog and mist, and to be alert on the roads.
“Residents should be careful while on the road and engaging in any outdoor activity,” they said.
