A route from Mumbai to Pune would cut a 2.5 hour drive to just 25 minutes
It will take between two and three years to build the demo track and complete construction is expected to take between five and seven years.
A plan which would bring thousands of jobs to the region and major relief to one of India’s busiest roads.
“The Pune-Mumbai route is an ideal first corridor as part of a national hyperloop network that will dramatically reduce travel times between most of India’s major cities to under two hours.
I believe Virgin Hyperloop One could have the same impact upon India in the 21st century as trains did in the 20th century. The Pune-Mumbai route is an ideal first corridor as part of a national hyperloop network.”
